Man and woman arrested after 5 children left alone in Wichita home

A man and a woman are in jail accused of leaving five children at home alone.

Police say the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office arrested JT Rowe and Jessica Thompson on Aug. 15 on newly issued warrants stemming from an April 26 case.

Earlier this year, officers responded to the 3000 Block of S. Broadway after receiving information that children ages 8, 6, 3, 3 and two months old, at the time, were found at home alone.

Officers conducted a welfare check and found the children were in unsuitable conditions.

The children were taken into police protective custody at that time.

Both Rowe and Thompson are being held in the Sedgwick County jail on a $50,000 bond for four counts of aggravated endangering a child endangerment, one count of endangering a child.
