One person hurt after being hit by train in north Wichita

A woman is taken to the hospital after being hit by a train in north Wichita.

It happened near 21st and Broadway around 10:00 p.m. Saturday.

When first responders arrived the woman was still breathing but in critical condition. It's unknown why she was on the tracks.

Right now Broadway is blocked off at 21st street due to the incident. 29th Street is open to cross heading east from Broadway but roads south of there will be blocked by the train. An officer on scene tells us that It is expected to be closed off for a while.
