Police investigate armed robbery at Money Center inside NE Wichita Walmart

The Wichita Police Department investigates an armed robbery reported Sunday evening at the Money Center inside the Walmart near 29th North and Rock Road. Wichita police say officer responded to the call a little after 5 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, the officers contacted two employees who reported a man approaching the service counter, handing over a note demanding money and then pointing a gun at them.

"one employee gave the suspect case from the register, and he fled the business on foot, running eastbound along 29th Street," police say.

Nobody was injured in the robbery, but police haven't made an arrest in this case.
