"Wichita 29ers" announced as second possible name for Triple-A baseball team

Wichita baseball has announced the second possible name for the city's Triple-A baseball team.

Wednesday morning, Wichita Baseball 2020 changed its Facebook, and Twitter name, and logo to "Wichita 29ers."

This is one of seven possible names that will be selected from over 3,000 submissions every two weeks for discussion, and debate.

The official announcement for Wichita's new team comes in November. Opening Day at the new stadium is set for Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
