Meteorologist Mark Larson a warming trend will kick-in today that will take us through Saturday and high temps could climb into the 90s as soon as tomorrow.

Winds will shift back to the south today and the western half of Kansas will see gusts over 30 mph at times later in the day. Highs will stay in the 70s east while the west warms into the low to mid 80s under a mostly sunny sky to partly cloudy sky.

A few spotty showers could pop-up over western Kansas this evening but they'll fade as they drift eastward overnight.

Look for gusty southerly winds statewide Friday and summer-like highs soaring into the lower 90s for far western Kansas with 80s expected for the central and east.

We'll see better bets to get wet, for larger portions of our state, show up Friday night, with more stormy weather, including the possibility of severe storms, expected through Father's Day weekend.
