A man is in custody after two people were shot in Morrison on Tuesday evening.

Police say 24-year-old Jeramie M. House, of Morrison, was taken into custody after shooting an 18-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman.

Officials say on Tuesday, Oct. 22., multiple 911 calls were made for a report of shots being fired at a home on Main Street. This happened around 8:30 p.m.

Police say the woman and the man, both residents at the home, were victims of a shooting and that the suspect, House, left the scene in a vehicle.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she remains in stable condition. The man was taken to the hospital, then later flown to Rockford. His condition is critical but stable.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police say House was taken into custody and he is currently being held at the Whiteside County Jail.

House is being charged with two counts of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, and possession of a firearm without requisite FOID.
