Deadly Crash Involving a Pedestrian in Wood Village.

Wood Village, OR.  Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputies shut down a stretch of Northeast 223rd Avenue for hours after a woman was hit by a car near Arata Road just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Emergency crews tried to save the victim’s life, but she died at the scene. The driver is cooperating with the investigation. Police don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. Crews reopened Northeast 223rd Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.
