Another casino-type gaming operation brought down by police, this time in Springdale

While the Highway Patrol, Springfield police and Greene County deputies were raiding what they called an illegal gaming operation in Springfield, a similar bust was underway in two northwest Arkansas convenience stores in Springdale.
The store owners turned themselves in after police say they found casino-style slot machines. Authorities say it is something they rarely see in Arkansas-- because the lottery is now legal, but it is still a problem.
Authorities warn gambling machines in an establishment with a license to sell alcohol are not regulated and should not be used.
