The job market is hot in the Ozarks right now. Those with the Missouri Career Center say they are seeing more businesses hiring before the end of the year than ever before.

"Employers are still hiring," Katherine Trombetta, a spokesperson with the Missouri Job Center, said. "So even though it is the holidays, that has not slowed down."

Trombetta says the field of manufacturing and healthcare have the most job openings.

"They are always looking for qualified individuals," Trombetta said.

SRC Holdings specializes in remanufacturing. They have 60 open positions in Springfield. Krisi Schell, Director of Talent and Culture at SRC Holdings, says they hope to hire those spots before the end of the year.

"A lot of people think about waiting until the first of the year for that job change or to make a career change," Schell said. "There are a lot of jobs available right now and we are looking for people today."

Schell says they need to hire more people before 2019 begins to keep up with projected growth.

"We see growth over the next five years, (it is) steady," Schell said. "Although we are experiencing a lot (of growth) right now and we have jobs available right now, we anticipate that trend to continue over the next five years."

In order to land a new job, Trombetta shared a few tips:

-Present yourself well

-Communicate clearly

-Show up on time

-Be dependable
