Semi crash closes 1 lane of I-44 in Springfield

A semi crash on I-44 in Springfield backed up traffic Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to the crash around 3 p.m. at the Kansas Expressway overpass in the eastbound lanes.
Police say the driver lost control and hit the guardrail. The driver also hit the side of the bridge. The semi is the only vehicle involved.
Police say it could take hours to reopen one closed lane of I-44.
