Strong winds knock down power poles, trees in Springfield, Mo.

Winds of up to 70 miles per hour knocked down trees, power poles and lines across Springfield and Greene County Thursday morning.

City Utilities reports a couple of thousand outages. We're also getting reports of low power lines over some roads across the city.

Debris is also scattered on roads.
