Truck fails to make turn, crashes into power pole in east Springfield

Springfield City Utilities is working to restore power to customers in east Springfield after a truck took out a power pole.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. Thursday. The driver failed to make a turn near Belcrest and Chestnut near U.S. 65. The outage is impacting only 100 customers.

It appears the truck driver is okay.
