Lancashire has been blessed with sunny skies and glorious temperatures over the past week.

However, that is all about to change.

From today (June 3), the clouds will appear, rain will fall and Lancashire will look a little duller to how it did this past week.

Temperatures are likely to dip as we say goodbye to the warm weather which has seen the county bask in the mid twenties.

It has been a welcome sight as the UK is on lockdown, with many people being able to exercise in the glorious outdoors as they escape their houses for a little while.

But with the weather forecast reportedly changing for the week ahead, we have consulted the Met Office for exactly how the weather will look.

This is the weather forecast for every area in Lancashire today, according to the experts.

Preston

The temperature in Preston is due to take a dip, with highs of 14 degrees expected.

Rain is expected from 12am - 11am, and will be heavy in parts.

The rest of the afternoon is looking cloudy, but certainly drier.

Blackpool

Blackpool residents will wake to a very grey sky, with rain predicted from 10pm on Tuesday until 11am on Wednesday.

Wind speed is set to pick up in the afternoon to 17mph.

The evening will be dry but overcast.

Lancaster

A little less rain is expected in Lancaster than the rest of the county, although the city will see showers from the early hours up until 8am.

The remainder of the day will see a very cloudy sky.

Temperatures will remain mild with highs of 14 degrees.

Blackburn

Heavy rain will fall over Blackburn throughout the morning until 9am.

The rest of the day will dry off but it will remain cloudy.

Temperatures are due to reach highs of 13 degrees and sunset is expected at 9.33pm.
