LANSING — A woman was injured in an early morning shooting Friday, Lansing police said.

A man brought the woman to a local hospital in his vehicle just after 4 a.m. Friday, Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said.

The 22-year-old woman had an apparent gunshot wound to the shoulder, Merritt said. Her injury was not life-threatening.

She was not forthcoming with information, Merritt said, and gave a location for the shooting that was not accurate. Police are speaking with the pair to determine what led to the shooting.

The woman told police the shooting occurred at Pennsylvania Avenue and Miller Road, but police believe it may have taken place in the 4500 block of Burchfield Avenue, Merritt said.
