Lansing man, 18, in critical condition after possible accidental shooting

LANSING — An 18-year-old Lansing man is in critical condition after a shooting on Lansing's east side Sunday, police said. 

Police were called to the area of Leslie and Walsh streets at about 10:30 p.m. for the reported shooting, Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said. 

It appears the shooting may have been accidental, Merritt said. 

The 18-year-old was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, Merritt said.
