LANSING — A Lansing woman is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from the international food and animal safety company she worked for.

Beginning in 2014, Tammy Ritter embezzled more than $100,000 from Neogen, according to court records.

She is charged with embezzling more than $100,000 and using a computer to commit a crime. She faces up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.

Ritter's attorney, Greg Hocking, did not respond for comment Tuesday. Neogen also did not respond for comment Tuesday.

Ritter, 56, was not booked into the Ingham County Jail and does not have a mugshot.

Neogen is an international company, but is headquartered in Lansing. It develops products dedicated to food and animal safety.
