Double-digit rise reported in Greater Lansing coronavirus cases

Known COVID-19 infections rose by double digits in Greater Lansing with no new deaths reported early Saturday in the tri-county area. 

Ingham County had recorded 695 COVID-19 cases as of Saturday morning, an increase of 21 cases since approximately 24 hours before. 

Eaton County's reported 175 cases Saturday, five more cases since Friday, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Reported cases of the disease among Clinton County residents remained constant on Saturday at 137 total.

Twenty-five Ingham County residents, 10 Clinton County residents and six Eaton County residents are known to have died from the disease, based on numbers reported to the state health department as of 10 a.m. Saturday

Across Michigan, there were 54,365 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,223 deaths as of Saturday.

To prevent spread of the novel coronavirus, wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face. Limit contact with people outside your household, staying at least 6 feet away if possible.
