LANSING - A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in south Lansing Wednesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old motorcycle driver was riding south on Cedar Street when the motorcycle collided with a sedan turning left onto Greenlawn Avenue, Lansing police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said.

Police were called at 11:39 a.m. for the crash. A witness to the crash, Josh Boutwell, said he saw bystanders performing CPR on the motorcyclist before the ambulance arrived.

Five people were inside the sedan, and all were taken to a local hospital for evaluation. None had life-threatening injuries, Merritt said.

The accident investigation team is still looking into the crash, and has not yet determined fault. Drugs or alcohol don't appear to be a factor in the crash, Merritt said.

The motorcycle was severely damaged, and the windshield and front windows on the sedan were broken.

Witnesses who may have left the scene can call the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600.
