Man injured after argument leads to gunfire in north Lansing

LANSING – A man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound after a verbal disagreement escalated to violence on Lansing's north side.

The incident happened about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Lemrock Court, near Willow Street.

Police are investigating a shooting on Lansing's north side.

Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said the victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim argued with another man before he was shot, and no one else was injured,  Merritt said. Police know the identity of the shooter and were trying to locate him, he said.
