The Connecticut Appellate Court has upheld a lower court ruling which dismissed a lawsuit filed on behalf of a school paraprofessional, an employee who works one-on-one with students, who claimed the Manchester Board of Education needed to accommodate her for her constant absences.

In its 3-0 ruling Thursday, finding summary judgment for the Board of Education, the court found it’s essential in most jobs that employees not be absent from work on a regular basis.
