A DEESIDE man charged with possessing a machete has been remanded in custody.
Like Laidlaw, 37, of Somerville Close in Connah's Quay, appeared from custody at North East Wales Magistrates Court at Mold.
He gave no indication of plea to a charge of possessing the machete as an offensive weapon during an incident in Welsh Road, Sealand, on January 16.
Prosecutor Justin Espie applied for the case to go the crown court but District Judge Martin Jackson said he considered the case suitable to be dealt with at the magistrates court.
Laidlaw elected crown court trial and he was remanded in custody pending a plea hearing at Mold Crown Court on March 29.
