West Yorkshire Police are treating the discovery of a woman's body at a house in Leeds as "unexplained".

Officers were called to a property on Stonebridge Grove, Farnley, shortly before 7pm on Saturday, May 23. A member of the public had phoned the force after becoming concerned for the person in the house.

When police arrived, they discovered the body of a 34-year-old woman inside and a spokesperson has said that her death is currently being treated as unexplained.

In a statement, they said: "Police attended at Stonebridge Grove, Leeds just before 7pm on Saturday the 23 of May following a concern call in regards to the occupant of the premises.

"Officers attended and located the body of a 34-year-old woman inside the premises.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries remain ongoing at this time."
