One lucky Leeds United fan has lauded the club for the little things after they surprised him on his wedding day in Canada.

Twitter user @callumlufc87 shared a thread about the gifts he received from the Whites on the other side of the world on his most special day.

The die-hard United supporter paid tribute to Elland Road staff and players, after receiving a signed card from the squad, video messages from players old and new and a commemorative frame penned by boss Marcelo Bielsa.

“Just want to highlight what a great community club Leeds United have now become. I moved over to Canada about 7 years ago and got married here over the weekend...,” he began the thread.

“Firstly, the First Team sent me and my wife a very lovely wedding card.

“Marcelo Bielsa sent us a very nice, personally signed, framed letter.

“And most amazingly, Liam Cooper, Adam Forshaw, Barry Douglas [and] Stuart Dallas all sent my best men video messages congratulating me and my new wife.”

He continued: “Even got some video messages from some of my favourite ex-Leeds players, including Snoddy [Robert Snodgrass], Andy Hughes, Deano [Brian Deane], [Luciano] Becchio and Gary Kelly. Thanks so much lads.

"An already special day was made even more special because of Leeds United. It's a testament to the way the club is run these days by Andrea Radrizzani and Marcelo Bielsa, with Liam Cooper as Club Captain that they are willing to go above and beyond for #lufc fans.”

Leeds next play West Brom on Saturday as they look to preserve their lead at the Championship summit.
