Garry Monk is reportedly set to leave Birmingham City after disagreeing with the club’s hierarchy, a development that will no doubt be familiar to Leeds United fans.

After leading Leeds to a seventh-place finish, narrowly missing out on a play-off place in the 2016-17 season, Monk left the club that summer to go to recently relegated Middlesbrough, having disagreed with new club chairman Andrea Radrizzani about the direction of the club.

After getting sacked by Boro midway through last season, the latest reports have suggested that he’s due to leave the Blues . Monk is largely regarded to have done a good job at St. Andrew’s at a club that was in turmoil when he was appointed.

It’s been suggested that he’s unhappy that they've recently sold key man Jota to local rivals Aston Villa and won’t be at the helm much longer.
