The 2018/19 EFL season is in the bag with Norwich City, Sheffield United and Aston Villa securing promotion to the Premier League as Leeds United missed out.

Attention has now shifted onto next term with Cardiff City, Fulham, Huddersfield Town, Luton Town, Barnsley, Charlton Athletic all joining the second tier.

The 2019/20 Championship season will get underway in August, but the excitement has started to build with Leeds United fans.

The full fixture list will be made available on Thursday, June 20 at 9am, a week after the Premier League revealed the fixtures for the new campaign.

The season starts on the weekend August 2 to 4, with a live game likely to kick things off on the evening of Friday, August 2. Most teams will play on Saturday, August 3.

The Carabao Cup commences the week beginning Monday, August 12.

Sky Sports have secured the rights for EFL games until 2024 in a deal worth an estimated £595m. They will show 183 games from the Championship, League One, League Two, Carabao Cup and the EFL Trophy in 2019/20 - a 26 per cent increase on the 2018/19 season.

Sky should announce the first TV games by Friday, June 28.
