According to the Land Registry, 23,132 residential sales were registered across England and Wales in January 2019.

The most expensive was of a terraced property in Kensington and Chelsea, which sold for a whopping £12,650,000.

While the cheapest sale in the month was of a terraced property in Spennymoor, County Durham for just £17,000.
