'Leicester, the city that never sleeps'

"Leicester is beautiful! It has a lot of great people and beautiful river. It has amazing parks with grass and a lot of big trees! The night clubs are amazing and nightlife in Leicester is great."

"Leicester... the city that never sleeps... Whether be it on a gloomy Monday, or a busy Tuesday, there is always a motive happening somewhere around Lei. The food is amazeballs. Shopping.. we got multiple shopping centres that cater to everyone. Around Christmas time, there is so much to do with your loved ones."

"Leicester's night life is really good with many options of places to go to especially club republic and mosh! But also for a drink or primos before hand locker room has an amazing atmosphere so would highly recommend."

"The town is super close to campus and also from almost all uni accommodations which is convenient. There are a few places to shop around and plenty of eating places whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as loads of bars and pubs."

"I enjoy food in Leicester as you can walk down the road and find any cuisine to your liking. The food here is also relatively cheap and student friendly. Transport is at times redundant as I can just walk to town and uni."

'After a year you can easily have found and done everything there is to do'

"Such a diverse and historical city with amazing shops, restaurants and nightlife. The Highcross shopping centre is huge and has a great range of shops that I don't have in my hometown like Urban Outfitters and AllSaints. Transport is so good too, with buses and low fare taxis going just about anywhere."

"For a city this small, they certainly pack a lot in, including both the University of Leicester and De Montfort University. The city is a historic meeting place and Leicester is home to a wide variety of races and cultures making for a unique university experience."

"Good for food. Very diverse and multicultural. Some good shopping centres and decent value for money. Not a lot to do if staying for long periods of time and not many tourist sites."

"Leicester is not a great night out as their is only 2 clubs really and one is rubbish and quite expensive."

"Leicester is a nice town with everything you need, but after a year you can easily have found and done everything there is to do in the community."

"In Leicester everything is reasonably close together which is the good part. Some nice food places , couple decent bars but apart from that there is nothing to do for any ages really. When people visit me I struggle finding things to do."

"Living in the city of Leicester ( what we called leii) was intresting. It's a complete different vibe to London for sure. The shops were basically the same. Just that they didnt have much corner shops open all night. Night life was interesting because its a combination of the Leicester locals and students. In terms of food I wish they had a variety of different restaurants but its all worth your money. There wasn't much activities to do well the only thing i did was bowling, flip out and cinema all the time. Everything was usually far away."
