The world's largest international airline is coming to Leicester to find candidates to join its cabin crew team.

Emirates is holding an open day looking for women and men to fill new positions, which have been created due to the growth of the airline.

New starters can expect to earn an average of £2,040 a month.

What do you need to apply?

Emirates has high standards for its cabin crew, and applicants must at least have the following:

  • At least 21 years of age at the time of joining
  • Arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes
  • Minimum height of 160 cm
  • High school graduate
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • No visible tattoos while you’re in Emirates cabin crew uniform
  • Can adapt to new people, new places and new situations
  • Physically fit for this demanding role with a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)

The airline adds that it looks for people who can demonstrate that they are 'professional, empathetic, progressive, visionary and cosmopolitan'.

On the open day, applicants must follow Emirates' grooming guidelines which include dressing in smart business attire, including heels for women.

Men must be clean-shaven and have short, neatly styled hair, while women must style their hair in a French roll, braid, ponytail or bun, and wear visible make-up.

Emirates' Cabin Crew Recruitment Open Day starts at 9am sharp on Saturday, August 24, at the Holiday Inn Leicester in St Nicholas Circle.

Applicants need to arrive at the open day with an up-to-date CV and a recent photograph, and will need to come prepared to spend the full day at the venue if required.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed of timings for further assessments and interviews.

Candidates are also encouraged to complete an online application on the Emirates Group careers website prior to attending the open day.
