A lorry has overturned on Ratby Lane, between Bloods Hill island, Kirby Muxloe and the Wembley Road junction, causing traffic to build.
Area Traffic Control confirmed the incident and released a tweet at 7.30am this morning.
The tweet read: "A lorry has overturned on Ratby Lane between the Bloods Hill island at Kirby Muxloe and the Wembley Road junction - traffic struggling on the approaches there."

Area traffic control have tweeted to say that traffic is now easing around the area where the overturned Lorry is, however Ratby Lane from Wembley Road remains closed.
Road closures being put in place after earlier accident
Leicestershire Police have confirmed that they are closing both Wembley Road and Ratby Road after the earlier overturned lorry.
Area Traffic control confirmed that the delays are as far back as the A46 southbound.

Leicestershire Police have confirmed that they are attending to the overturned lorry on Ratby Lane which has has caused heavy traffic on Bloods Hill Island and have warned people to find an alternative route.
