A man has been taken to hospital after an incident in the city centre.
Police have cordoned off an area at the end of Humberstone Gate, near to the New Look store at the junction with Charles Street.
At least four police vehicles, and two ambulance vehicles are at the scene.

Police searching for witnesses
Police are searching for witnesses to the stabbing.
They have released more details.
Police confirm stabbing
A Leicestershire spokeswoman said: “We were called at 5.50pm to a report of a stabbing in Humberstone Gate.
“A 19-year-old man was injured and has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.
“No arrests have been made at this point.
“There were a lot of people in the area. This was prime commuting time. Anyone who saw anything is asked to please contact us on 101.”
Staff believe man had 'two wounds'
Staff at one business near the scene say the injured person is a young man.
Before he was taken away in an ambulance they believe they saw he had two wounds - one on his head and one in the middle of his body.
They believe a bottle was used as well as a knife. This has not been confirmed by police however.
Suggestions of an assault
People at the scene are suggesting an assault took place about 45 minutes ago.
Nobody seems to know exactly what has happened.
We have contacted Leicestershire Police for an comment.
Second police cordon
There is a second police cordon on the other side of Humberstone Gate near a takeaway shop.
It is an area of pavement cordoned off with a broken bottle on the floor.
In the first cordon outside New Look there is a paramedic kit bag.
Neither cordon is affecting traffic, only pavements are cordoned off.
