A woman was taken to hospital after she was injured in a two-car crash in Coalville.
The nature of the 'elderly' woman's injuries has not been released, however police said they were not 'life-threatening or life-changing'.
Police closed a section of Forest Road, between Convent Drive and the main London Road, shortly after 5pm.
The force said two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Leicestershire Police announced the closure was lifted approximately.
They advised motorists to avoid the area.

The road closure is about to be lifted
Now that the injured woman has been taken from the scene and on to hospital, the emergency services are scaling down at the scene.
The fire service crews have left and Leicestershire Police tell us they have just or are about to reopen the road.

The injured woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The nature of her injuries is not being released at this time. However, a Leicestershire Police spokeswoman has just told us they are not ‘life-threatening or life-changing’.

They tell us an ‘elderly’ woman is trapped in one of the two vehicles which were involved in this collsion.
Fire crews are in the process of freeing the woman from the vehicle.
The collision happened shortly after 5pm, they say.
