Raiders who were believed to be armed targeted a jewellers in Hinckley town centre today.
The incident happened at Goldust Jewellers, in Market Place, shortly before 11am.
Leicestershire Police are on the scene of the raid carrying out investigations.

4 men arrested
Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody.

'I've never seen anything like it'
Another person, who was working in a nearby shop, said: “I didn’t see the actual incident. I heard the alarm going off at the jewellery shop going off and there were people running around.
“Then the police arrived.
“I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Armed with machetes?
One nearby business’ owner, who did not wish to be named, said: “It must have been about 10am, someone said ‘the jewellers has been robbed’.
“People are saying it was three men with machetes.”
Police activity to the north of the town
We’ve heard reports that police including dog units and the helicopter were seen this lunchtime in the Market Bosworth area.
We await an official statement from Leicestershire Police over this, and if it is connected to the raid in Hinckley.
Initial reports from police
A Leicestershire Police spokesman has confirmed they are investigating a robbery at Goldust Jewellers in Market Place, Hinckley, this morning.
The force will issue a broader statement shortly, he says.
He confirms that nobody has been injured.
