A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Coalville last month.
The 18-year-old, of Leicester, was arrested on Friday (May 22) in connection with the incident which happened in Belvoir Road just before 1.45pm on Monday, April 13.
A 33-year-old man was found to have been assaulted in the area at the time of the incident.
He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
The 18-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm in connection with an incident in Mallory Place, Leicester, which happened on Saturday, May 16.
He currently remains in police custody where he is being questioned by officers.
Armed officers attended Mallory Place on May 16 following a report received that gunshots had been heard.
Enquiries remain ongoing into the incident to establish the full circumstances.
