A teenage girl died in a collision with a bus in Coalville yesterday.
Police have confirmed a few more details about the incident in a new statement.
A spokesperson said: "Detectives are continuing their investigation into a fatal collision in Coalville yesterday afternoon.
"The collision took place just before 3.40pm in Meadow Lane and involved a bus and a teenage girl.
"The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"Meadow Lane was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident and was re-opened just before 9.50pm.
"Enquiries are continuing in the local area and officers are in the process of speaking to people who were in the area at the time."
