Police have been visiting houses in Leicestershire looking for a convicted rapist who is on the run.

Officers have been calling on addresses in the Market Harborough area in a bid to trace Stephen Tierney.

The 39-year-old has been at large for 13 days now and police believe he may have travelled to Leicestershire.

Officers have issued a warning to the public not to approach Tierney who absconded from Lincolnshire open prison HMP North Sea Camp on July 3.
