We've heard of a pelican crossing but this is ridiculous.

A pair of swans has been filmed causing traffic problems on the A46 this morning.

The large white waterfowl were spotted at around 8.30am today (Saturday) on the A46 Western Bypass near the Wanlip junction.

Motorists were having to take evasive action as the swans were moving together along the slow lane - even slower than usually is the case.

The incident seems to have had a happy ending luckily as no traffic problems are currently being reported in the area according to traffic service Inrix.
