All roads are no open
All roads are now open, according to Leicester Area Traffic Control. They said: “Good News from Loughborough, the A6004 Ling Road has no been reopened after the earlier accident. It will take a little time for the traffic around there to ease.”

'Extra slow' traffic
Leicester Area Traffic Control report “extra slow’ traffic in the area. In a Twitter post they said: “The A6004 Ling Rd remains closed from the Shelthorpe Road Roundabout, southbound, to the Woodthorpe Roundabout. Lots of extra traffic using Shelthorpe Road to the A6 Leicester Rd. Also, Epinal Way extra slow towards the closure.”

'Queuing traffic due to serious accident'
Traffic is building up in the area following the incident. Traffic information website Inrix said: “The A6004 Ling Road is closed in both directions, with queuing traffic due to a serious accident, from Main Street (Woodthorpe roundabout) to Park Road (Park Road roundabout). Police closed the road at 9.55am”
Air ambulance seen landing in playing fields
There are reports of the air ambulance landing in nearby playing fields off Farnham Road.

Leicestershire Police are advising motorists to avoid the area. They tweeted: “Road closures are in place in Ling Road, Shelthorpe Road and Allendale Road, in Loughborough, due to a road traffic incident. Please find an alternative route.”
