We asked our readers to help us out with some suggestions. With autumn well and truly here, you can't beat a good walk in the fresh air.
Whether that be with your dog or just a chance to stretch your legs and take in the views, there are plenty of options in Leicestershire. One thing that always makes a walk much better is when it ends with a visit to a pub or café for a drink and bite to eat.
Another is when you are able to take in some stunning views as you enjoy a stroll. Readers helped us out with some suggestions - and they really came through with some gems.

Spectacular views in Leicestershire
Bradgate Park
This is probably the first place that comes to mind when you think of great views in Leicestershire.
But the fact it's an obvious one, doesn't stop it being amazing.
Sitting at the top of Old John will give you incredible views - and some great photo opportunities. Kieran said: "Can see for miles on a clear one."
Bardon Hill
This is the highest point in Leicestershire, and the views on a clear day go for miles.
From the summit you can see the Malvern and Shropshire Hills, summits in Derbyshire and Lincoln Cathedral.
Kate said: "Summit of Bardon Hill, it's a beautiful walk to the top too."
The A427
Kelly said: "The A427 to Corby (coming away from Market Harborough), goes through the village of Dingley, at the top of the hill is the most amazing view."
Charnwood Water
Chris said: "Charnwood Water, views across the water of steam trains rolling by with the county in the distance."
Beacon Hill
In the ancient, rocky landscape of Charnwood Forest.
As well as the landscape, there are grazing animals and tree sculptures to see.
On a clear day you can see Belvoir Castle, hills in the Peak District, Derby, Nottingham, and the town of Lincoln Cathedral (with a pair of binoculars).
Stoney Cove
On a sunny day you could look out on Stoney Cove and imagine you were on a Greek Island.
The views over the large flooded quarry really are stunning.
Burrough Hill
Mike said: "Burrough Hill. An iron age hill fort with fantastic views, and it has a sculpture/diagram thing at the top so you know what you're looking at."
Croft Hill
One of the reviews on TripAdvisor says Croft Hill is 'more than just a large pit', and it definitely is.
Right at the top you'll see views for miles, and the countryside really is quite something.
Ulverscroft
Sharon suggested the view of Ulverscroft from the Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation.
The charity has a tea room where you can look out at the rolling countryside.
Grace Road
If you're a cricket fan you'll probably be very familiar with this one.
From the Leicestershire county Cricket Club ground Grace Road you can get a great view of Leicester.
Staunton Harold estate
From the B587 in Ashby you can get a stunning view of the Staunton Harold Estate.
Looking out over the green landscape you can spot the historic hall, which is used for weddings and events, in the distance.
Viewpoint near Abbotts Oak
This is one you probably wouldn't know about unless you drive this way.
There is a viewing point in Warren Hills Road in Coalville where you can see a sea of rolling green hills.
Breedon-on-the-hill
Dom said: "From Bredon on the Hill you have incredible views of Leics, Notts, Derbyshire and Staffs. Proper hidden gem.
"You need to go up to Breedon Priory on top of the hill."
