Dramatic pictures from the scene of a crash involving two buses show the damage to both vehicles.

Two passenger buses were involved in the crash in Old Ashby Road in Loughborough this evening.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Shepshed Station has released images of the two vehicles following the crash.

Both buses have been significantly damaged.

An update from the fire service has said one passenger and one bus driver were taken to hospital.

It said: “One bus driver ejected from vehicle and one passenger on bus has minor injuries and able to walk off bus.

“Air ambulance in attendance.

“Driver and injured passenger conveyed to hospital by ambulance.”

Old Ashby Road remains closed by police. The force says it is likely to remain closed for some time.
