The A5 near Hinckley was shut for most of today shut following a collision.
Police said the Dodwells roundabout was closed due to a road traffic collision.
A spokesman said: "The A5 is closed from The Long Shoot to the Nutts Lane roundabout.
"Please avoid the area whilst emergency services deal with this incident."

Lorry driver taken to hospital with "serious injuries"
Police have said that the lorry driver was taken to Coventry Hospital with “serious injuries”
A force spokeswoman said: “The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. It is not believed that the injuries are life-changing or life-threatening.”
It is believed that no-one else was injured in the incident.

M69/A5 junction breakdown
Just down the road, Inrix is also reporting that the M69 northbound has a lane closed on exit slip road due to broken down vehicle at J1 A5 (Hinckley / Nuneaton).
Traffic is coping well but watch out if you’re using this as a diversion.

The HGV was carrying shredded paper
Firefighters said the HGV was carrying a load of shredded paper.
Crews from Nuneaton and Hinckley were sent but the Warwickshire appliance was not required.
A spokesman for the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to the scene by police at 11.21am.
“The lorry was carrying shredded paper.
“We are dealing with leaks on the road which are believed to be oil and fuel.”

A police spokesman said: “The lorry driver, who was out of the vehicle, was being treated at the scene by the East Midlands Ambulance Service. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”

Police have said that the incident involves a lorry which has tipped over onto its side.
A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.16am to a report of an articulated lorry on its side at Dodswell roundabout.”
