A collision near to the quarry in Bardon is causing delays.
Traffic is struggling towards the Birch Tree island on the A511 at Bardon says Leicestershire Area Traffic Control.
Bardon Road is partially blocked as a result.

One person taken to hospital
Leicestershire Police were called to the incident today at 9.08am.
A force spokesperson said: “We were called to a two vehicle Road Traffic Collision on Bardon Road.
“One person was taken to hospital via ambulance but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
“Another person was checked at the scene by ambulance.
“The road was closed as a result of the incident but is now clear.”
