A junction on the A512 in Loughborough is closed due to a collision, say police.

Leicestershire Police say the junction with Forest Road is shut due to a road traffic collision.

The road has now re-opened

Traffic experts Inrix say the A512 has now re-opened.

It says: “A512 Ashby Road in both directions re-opened, traffic easing, accident cleared between Forest Lane and Swannymote Road.”

Two vehicles involved in the collision

There were two vehicles involved in the collision, say police.

A force spokesman said: “There were two vehicles involved in the collision on the A512 Ashby Road between Forest Lane and Swannymote Road.

“The road is currently closed in both directions.

“People should avoid the area for the forseeable future if they can.”
