A lorry and a car have collided in Spa Lane, Hinckley, this lunchtime.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene just after noon today.

One appliance is a the scene, while East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Police are in attendance too.

A fire spokesman said nobody was trapped, adding: "Due to congestion caused by the collision, please avoid the area."

One road traffic collision involving one car and one heavy goods vehicle, no persons trapped.

One casualty being assisted by East Midlands Ambulance Service and Police are in attendance.
