The northbound side of the M69 is blocked due to a collison.
Highways England say the motorway is shut between Junction 2 at Hinckley and the M1 Junction 1.
It is believed that a car has overturned.

Diversion details
Traffic on the M69 northbound should leave the motorway at junction 1.
Join the A5 southbound towards Rugby.
Prior to Rugby, exit the A5 near Magna Park and join the A4303 eastbound towards Lutterworth.
Then join the M1 northbound to J21.
Follow the hollow black circle diversion symbol.

The M69 northbound in Leciestershire is closed between junction 1 near Hinckley and the M1 at junction 21, after a car overturned and blocked the carriageway. Highways England are working hard at the scene supporting the emergency services and we’ll re-open the motorway just as soon as it is safe to do so.
An hour to clear?
Highjways England has confirmed that the M69 northbound has all three lanes shut between junction J1 and the M1.
This is due to an accident involving an overturned vehicle.
They expect normal traffic conditions and the road toe be clared by around 10.45pm.
Incident near Thurlaston
According to Google Traffic reports, there is a collision on the northbound carriageway close to the village of Thurlaston.
However the queues that Google has logged are closer to the M1 approach nearer the city.
We’ll bring you more details on the location when we can pin them down.
Police not in attendance
We’ve just spoken to Leicestershire Police.
They are not currently in attendance on the M69.
