A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a break-in at a restaurant in Hinckley this morning.

The 42 year old was taken into custody after the incident in Coventry Road.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “At 10.20am, we received a report of a break in at a restaurant in Coventry Road.

“It was reported that a man was seen leaving the premises.

“A 42-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary.

“It has not been established whether anything was taken.

"The man remains in custody.”
