One person was left trapped after a crash left a car 'straddling a ditch' in a county road this afternoon.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Lutterworth Road, Gilmorton at 3.15pm today (June 11) following reports of a crash.
Two cars were involved in the crash and one car left the road, leaving it overhanging a ditch, leaving the occupant trapped.
An ambulance from East Midlands Ambulance Service, as well as an air ambulance attended the scene.
The person who was trapped was extricated by the fire service and assessed by ambulance on the scene before being taken to hospital.
The scene was then made safe.
One fire engine from Lutterworth Station and one from Wigston Station attended the incident.
