Firefighters want every driver that smokes to see this photo.

Fire crews in Hinckley issued a warning after the car was badly damaged in a fire in Higham on the Hill.

Firefighters from Hinckley station put out a blaze that had taken hold of a vehicle, on the afternoon of June 28.

A post on the group’s Facebook page said: “The fire was extinguished safely and fortunately nobody was injured.

“However we have reason to believe that the fire was caused by carelessly discarded smoking materials.

“This is a huge reminder that if a cigarette break is needed while driving, ensure you stop off in a safe location to smoke outside.

“Please ensure you fully extinguish your cigarette and discard it safely.”
