Teenagers arrested after car windows smashed in Coalville

Four teenagers were arrested after car windows were smashed in Coalville.

Leicestershire Police are investigating following a number of incidents in London Road and Park Road on Wednesday.

It happened between 2am and 4am.

The four youths, one aged 15, two aged 16 and one aged 17, were arrested on suspicion of committing criminal damage.

Pc Daniel D'Araujo, the investigating officer, said: "We are investigating eight confirmed reports of damage.

“We know that incidents such as these can have a negative effect on local communities and neighbourhood officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the surrounding area.

“I would encourage anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or anyone who has been a victim but hasn’t as yet contacted police to please get in touch.”

Police said today that the four youths arrested have since been released 'under investigation'.
