There are growing concerns for the safety of a young woman who was reported missing last month.

Leicestershire Police are worried about Charlie Ryan and are appealing for anyone who knows where she is to come forward.

The 24-year-old was reported missing last month and since then police have been working to find her.

Charlie is white, 5ft 2ins tall and of a slim build, with long curly, mousy hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a black coat with a furry hood, cream-coloured trousers and carrying a small white bag.

PC Steph Shipley, from Leicestershire Police’s missing person team, said: “From inquiries carried out, we know that Charlie has made contact with a family member this week, but is still missing.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and believe that she may be in the Northfields area of Leicester.

"If you have seen Charlie, then please get in touch.”

Update: Police confirmed on Friday evening that Charlie has been found safe. The force thanked members of the public for sharing the original appeal.

Anyone who has seen Charlie or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting incident 486 of 16 July.
