Josh Knight’s first-half header secured just a second win in eight Premier League 2 games for Leicester City Under-23s tonight.

The talented defender nodded in from close range to secure a 1-0 win for the young Foxes at Brighton & Hove Albion.

It was a second goal in two games for Knight, who followed up the winner against Sparta Prague B two weeks ago with another at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre.

The win moved Steve Beaglehole’s men up to sixth in Division One, and now just a point behind Brighton.

Cox gets in a shooting position on the left side of the box. His drilled strike is well saved by Johansson and hits the lurking Gyokeres, who is about four yards out.

The ball is heading towards goal but Benalouane gets back brilliantly to clear off the line. Excellent defending.

Any more contact from Gyokeres and that’s 1-1.

Good work by Johnson on the right forced a corner. Dewsbury-Hall whipped it in and Benalouane got a flick-on at the near post. The ball made its way to Knight and the back post who had the simple task of heading home.
